Ana Luisa Carmona Ribeiro teaches visual arts and design at Federal University of Western Bahia (UFOB), a new public institution in the Brazilian Sertão backland region. She is an architect graduated from University of São Paulo (FAU-USP) and a master of Politics, Memory and Cities by University of Campinas (UNICAMP). Being an architect and urbanist among prospective artists, her research interests include the production of Visual Urban Narratives and the development of artistic inquiries tightly entwined with local urban matters and community.
