KUNSTrePUBLIK is an artist collective formed in 2006. From 2006 to 2010, the collective was the operative superstructure of Skulpturenpark Berlin_Zentrum.

Assuming a variety of roles, the collective conducts experiments in various social fields. As artists, curators, researchers, and activists, they employ situation-specific formats to critically address notions of art and public. Their aim is to actively define the interface between urban research and artistic formats in public space and to continually pose new questions concerning the future of the urban realm. They share and test out their experiences in exhibitions, interventions, performances, lectures, and workshops.

In 2012, the Berlin-based part of the collective founded the Center for Art and Urbanistics (ZK/U). The ZK/U sees itself as a laboratory for inter- and trans-disciplinary, activities centered on the phenomenon of “the city”.
ZK/U promotes international exchange on global issues, in the light of what is happening in one’s own backyard. Working with local and international partners, ZK/U residencies brings together critical minds at the cutting-edge of artistic production and urban research.

Some of their recent projects include: Archiple in√est (2014), B1/A40: Die Schönheit der großen Straße (Ruhr region, 2014), Jakarta Biennale (2013), Fountains of D.C. (Washington D.C., 2012), Angst hat große Augen, Werkleitz Festival (Halle/Saale, 2010), 5. Berlin Biennale für Zeitgenössische Kunst (2008), Vasl Arts (Lahore/Pakistan, 2008).
